know me!

Hello!

I’m Aliya.

I am a Business Information Technology student at Virginia Tech with a concentration in Decision Support Systems, interested in the combination of operations, technology, and user experience.

What excites me most is figuring out how systems can work better for the people who use them. Whether I'm coordinating logistics for a Division I football program, analyzing student engagement data, or designing a digital platform for a nonprofit, I enjoy solving problems that make processes more efficient and experiences more user-friendly.

Right now, I'm gaining experience across operations, analytics, and design through roles with Virginia Tech Football, Develop for Good, and Virginia Tech Student Affairs. These opportunities have allowed me to work with everything from data management and project coordination to UI/UX design and user research. I'm particularly interested in sports operations, business intelligence, product strategy, and user experience, and I'm always looking for opportunities to learn how technology can improve decision-making and create better experiences for people.
